Glasgow Square is always looking for motivated, personable, and dependable volunteers who are passionate about supporting and showcasing live performing arts in New Glasgow to join our team.
Volunteering at Glasgow Square is a great way to get involved in Pictou County’s vibrant arts and culture community through assisting in the production of live events and the operations of a performing arts venue; you will have the opportunity to learn from and work alongside industry professionals and renowned artists both local and otherwise. It's also a great way to gain valuable experience in the hospitality and live events sectors, which past volunteers have used to gain employment and further themselves in their lives and careers.
- Front of House
- Door Staff
- Event Assistant
- Access Control
Volunteers are scheduled on a casual, per-event basis, based on availability, and will always be working alongside our supportive supervisors and managers. Most of our events take place during evenings and weekends, and therefore, availability from Thursday through Saturday is a requirement. There will occasionally be daytime volunteering opportunities as well.
For each event worked, all volunteer staff will receive one free ticket to a future Glasgow Square show of their choosing (some exceptions apply), and can usually stay to enjoy the performance after their shift.
