Join us for an evening of laughter featuring three comedians from across the Maritimes. The show will FEATURE New Brunswick's James Mullinger and then supporting James we have Nova Scotia's Tavis Lindsay and Prince Edward Island's Dan Hendricken.
British comedian James Mullinger has taken Canada by storm. Sold out shows across the country, appearances on CBC's The Debaters, movies, TV shows, festivals, awards, magazines, stand up specials - since moving to the Maritimes four years ago he's done it all.
But he's putting movies and TV shows aside to go out and do what he loves most. Live stand up comedy. For all of Spring 2020 James is on the road again!
In April 2016, James sold out New Brunswick’s biggest indoor venue Harbour Station with his uniquely hilarious stand up show. This record breaking show was documented for a CBC documentary film 'City On Fire' (Link here: https://youtu.be/MJRItrjyHnY) which has aired across Canada to rave reviews and high ratings. The stand up special of the show itself was picked up by Hulu and Amazon Prime so his tales of life in Atlantic Canada are now being enjoyed by (or confusing!) people in Germany, Japan and America. Since then James has toured extensively to packed houses across Canada and England and written and produced a big screen feature film starring actors from Downton Abbey and Twilight about his early years in stand up, which was described as "unmissable" by GQ Magazine and "essential viewing. A funny, realistic look at what it takes to become a stand up comedian," by the Montreal Times.
James is one of the Maritimes' biggest cheerleader. He loves it here and spends his time promoting it across the world and raising money for local charities and non-profits. James has raised more than $100,000 for East Coast charities. He has also become one of Canada's top comics, being nominated for both a Just For Laughs comedy award and a Canadian Comedy Award for Best Live Show.
He also launched his own international magazine The Maritime Edit (link: www.maritimeedit.com) to share his love of Canada’s East Coast with the rest of the world.
This will be his third show in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia and this year he is bringing along two very talented comedians; Nova Scotia's Travis Lindsay and Prince Edward Island's Dan Hendricken.
Travis Lindsay is the most prolific writer in East Coast Comedy. His great mix of jokes and storytelling has been captivating audiences since the early age of 16. Travis was named 2016 “Best Nova Scotia Comedian” on James Mullinger’s Comedy Boot Camp, and winner of CBC's Hubcap competition. is a 3 time semi finalist on Sirius XM’s next top comic, and has appeared multiple times on Sirius XM satellite radio. He just recorded his debut album titled The Kid is Alright and In 2020 will be making his second appearance on CBC as part of the Halifax Comedy Festival.
Born and raised in P.E.I Dan Hendricken moved to Halifax to start stand-up comedy. Since moving he has quickly become a major up-and-comer in the comedy scene. Dan is known for his lighthearted and witty jokes all delivered with a goofy likability resembling a giant Golden Retriever. Dan has performed in the Halifax Comedy Fest and Hubcap Comedyfest. Toured all of Eastern Canada, headlined Toronto Yuk Yuks can be seen on CBC TV and radio.
